Pike County Animal Shelter

Located in Pikeville, Kentucky, the Pike County Animal Shelter is a dedicated facility serving the animals and residents of Eastern Kentucky. Funded by the Pike County Fiscal Court, the shelter provides a safe haven for stray and homeless domestic pets, offering them care, advocacy, and a second chance at a forever home. The shelter is committed to animal welfare through various programs and services, including pet education, cruelty investigations, and adoption services.

Adoption Process

The Pike County Animal Shelter works to ensure that all animals are spayed or neutered and up-to-date on their first set of vaccinations and de-worming before they are adopted. The adoption fee is currently $25 for both dogs and cats, which helps cover these essential services. If you are interested in adopting a new family member, you can fill out an application and visit the shelter during their regular hours to meet the available animals.
